This is how we create your animation

1. Intake and goal setting

We start by clearly defining the goal, target audience, and core message. We collect cases, process steps, screens, and corporate identity elements. You can easily share input and references via our online collaboration tools.

2. Script and voice-over

We write a compact script with clear calls to action and straightforward terminology. Choose a professional voice-over that fits your brand—in Dutch or multilingual.

3. Storyboard and visual design

We translate the script into scenes and create a storyboard. You can see what you will see on screen at each step. Then we design the visual style—from iconic 2D to realistic 3D—entirely in your corporate style.

4. Animation - 2D or 3D

We bring scenes to life with motion design, character or product animation. In 3D, we can visualize internal mechanisms and technical workflows in a photorealistic way—ideal for high-tech and industrial applications.

5. Sound design and accessibility

We add music and subtle sound effects that support the message. Subtitles, audio description, or text variants are available for maximum accessibility.

6. Delivery and distribution

You will receive files optimized for web, presentations, and social media. We advise on use per channel, length variants, and formats, so that your animation yields maximum results. Feedback and revisions run smoothly via our review tool.

Styles and applications

The style always follows the message. For process explanations, a clear 2D motion graphic often works best. For technical operation or product demonstrations, 3D is ideal—as in our 3D animation for Vanderlande's FASTPICK, in which we clearly visualized internal logistics steps. For product-oriented instructions, we also provide technical animation for instruction. For inspiration, check out our case study: instructional video on steel structures. And another example from the industry: case study: instructional video on concrete consoles. Frequently requested applications:

  • Onboarding and training - step-by-step instructions for employees
  • Product and software explanations - feature walkthroughs and UX flows
  • Safety instructions and compliance—clear and consistent
  • Service and support—fewer tickets and faster acceptance
  • Sales and marketing - value proposition clear in seconds

Lead time and planning

For an average instructional animation, you can expect a few weeks from intake to delivery. The schedule depends on length, style, and the number of iterations. 2D is usually faster than 3D. Rush orders are possible in consultation. We can prepare multilingual versions and extra variants for social media in parallel, so you can launch everything at once.

Costs of an instructional animation

We work entirely on a customized basis, which is why we prepare a quote based on scope and complexity. These factors determine the price:

  • Length and number of scenes—each additional step requires more design and animation
  • 2D or 3D - 3D offers more modeling, material, and lighting options
  • Level of detail - characters, complex UI, data visualizations, or mechanics
  • Custom design - custom illustrations, icon sets, style frames
  • Voice-over and sound design - language, voice, and music licenses
  • Multilingualism and variants - subtitles, voices, international versions
  • Urgent delivery and additional revision rounds - deployment of additional capacity

Our quotes are transparent and results-oriented: clear deliverables, planning, and review moments. Share your goal, target audience, and budget range, if applicable, and we will recommend the most efficient approach with maximum impact.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to have an animation made?

That depends on length, 2D or 3D, level of detail, voice-over, and the number of variants. We are happy to provide a clear quote based on your goal and scope. Share your wishes and budget, if applicable, and we will advise you on the best solution for your budget. Are you still at the beginning of your search for a partner? This may help: choosing the right explanatory animation agency.

What is the difference between 2D and 3D animation?

2D is faster and very suitable for process steps, icons, and UI flows. 3D is ideal for products, mechanics, and spatial insight—you see what normally remains hidden. We recommend a style that fits your story and budget.

Can you provide multilingual versions?

Yes. We provide native voiceovers, subtitles, and customized calls to action. We reuse visuals so you can efficiently roll out multiple languages without having to redo the entire production.
